The Pieces of our Hearts

Apparently it is the new thing for me to get sick around all of my favorite holidays--the most recent being Valentine's Day.  I woke up with the flu, {yuck!} and was very sad to miss the class Valentine exchange!  Luckily, the kids completed the pieces of our hearts project the week before Valentine's Day, so I was able to see all the sweet things that fill their hearts up with love!  Cute things:  Godzilla (yes, a little friend of mine loves Godzilla very, very much), Nick Saban, family, friends, Mrs. Cooley, school, and, of course, Hannah Montana.

We also talked about how to describe love!  Here is our "Love is..." anchor chart:

Sarah~ I am loving your blog. I was just wondering if you would send me an example of your 9 weeks skills agenda and your newsletter. I also teach First grade in Alabama and use the same reading series and I needs some new ideas for info for my Superhero notebook. I love the idea of your highlighting info for parents in the notebook! Cassie mrscpulliam@yahoo.com or cpulliam@leedsk12.org
