Our Community Map

Our community map is finally complete!  Each child was responsible for drawing a place in our town to add to the map.  Everyone also created their own house out of a milk carton box!  We got so excited about adding the 3-D element to our map with the houses, that we just HAD to add paper cars to our highway!  They are propped up with straws.  Precious!

Cute McDonald's!  She even drew the Play Place slide!  :)

I LOVE your community!! We do something similar with milk cartons-we made rural, urban, and suburban communities, so each child was assigned a building for that community. They loved making a 3d map :)

This is adorable! I know your kiddos LOVED this! We have done something similar to this. The kiddos then wrote riddle clues using cardinal directions to find certain locations on the map. =)

If you get the chance, I would LOVE for you to come and check out my give away. You can win a prize package that includes a $50 Target gift card, a $25 TpT gift card AND a $25 Lakeshore gift card. Wahoo! =)

I just stumbled across your blog and I am in love with so many of your ideas! As a first year teacher I have so many fun ideas that I want to use but am still overwhelmed with some of the classroom basics but seeing things like this remind me that I need to relax and remember to have fun with my kiddos!

I'd love for you to check out my little blog as well!
