Bowling for Facts!

Today during math stations, the kids went bowling for addition facts...without the real pins and bowling balls, but still pretty fun! This is a partner game, and each player gets a bowling mat and a handful of colorful chips (I call them mini bowling balls). The players take turns rolling 2 dice, then adding the sums of the numbers rolled. When one of the players rolls a number found on one of their pins, they "knock over" that pin with a chip. The first player to have all pins knocked over wins the game!

If you'd like a copy of this game, there is a precious, new and improved version uploaded to Teachers pay Teachers for $1.00!  It includes directions and 10 game mats--perfect for math stations!!!

Speaking of PDF...if you're creating anything on Word or Power Point, you should have the option of saving as a PDF file. If not, you can Google "PDF converter" & lots of sites will pop up that will convert your documents to PDF for free :)

Then you can find a hosting site like keepandshare.com to upload all your PDF files. The hosting site will give you a URL link to your document and you can use that to create a hyperlink on your blog :)

Wow...totally confused myself. Clear as mud, right?!

    Thanks for sharing!!

  7. I would like a copy if you have time to send it to me. I know how busy teaching can be for teachers. I was a parent that volunteer in the classroom regularly and had a chance to become friends with two of my son's past elementary teachers. They work very hard and I'm sure you do too! :)

  15. Hi! I've never posted any comments on your site, but I've followed it for a couple months and I love it! You're so creative and your classroom looks like so much fun!
I'm a reading teacher so this activity wouldn't work for me, but I had a thought. Maybe I could use it with site words and have flashcards with the sight words that they pick up and try to cover the board. Do you have a blank copy of the board without the numbers? My e-mail is mara.b.arnold@gmail.com
    Thanks!!
