{"I'm lovin' it...} Here is a fun little word sorting activity using letter combinations that make the long vowel i sound! The kids will read the words on each "fry" and then decide in which box to put the fry.
A pile of long i fries. {Just use fun scrapbook paper!}
I love this activity too! McD's has donated the fry containers and drink cups for "combos" in math. I will have to try this next year when the rule comes around. Thank you!
i am in LOVE with this activity!!!!! such a GREAT idea. We haven't come to this yet, but I will do this exact same thing when we do!!! thank you so much for the idea! (this is why i love teacher blogs)
Great idea! We did long i a few weeks ago, but I got some tonight to use for a sounds for y sort. We're learning about the three sounds for y, all represented in the phrase "Yummy Fry"! Can't wait. :)
I'm an EFL teacher in Taiwan. I just saw your post and really love this great idea!! Actually, me and my friends really enjoy reading your blog and appreciating your creative teaching ideas. I am wondering if it is welcome that I share this idea on my facebook page with a photo and a direct link to your blog with other EFL teachers?? It will certainly inspire most of them!
Your ideas are amazing! You are very creative and use everyday items and incorporate it with your love and passion for teaching and make it more fun and memorable for the kiddos! I will use it for an upcoming workshop! Thank you so much for sharing... : )
