So, I'm probably going to completely regret this whole idea later this year...but HOW COOL will it be for the boys {or girls!} to read the room with inflatable LIGHT SABER pointers ($2.00, Target Party Aisle)!? And, they actually light up! Batteries included! I know I will have to seriously drive home that these light sabers are for pointing at words around the room only...NO light saber battles allowed in the classroom (unless they want to meet "Darth Cooley").
Cute idea! Yes, you will have to make your point about flashing them at the words, but new ideas are always worth a try.
ReplyDeleteCOOLy is the perfect name for you, cuz you're WAY cooler than I am. I would have NEVER for a second think about letting my babies use these! They'd probably be broken in the first 2 minutes, and someone would be crying. :(
ReplyDeleteHAHAHAHAHA....Darth Cooley! You CRACK me up girl! I KNOW the kiddos would love this! I'm envisioning a cute printable with this.....maybe our hubbies could help us! I know nothing about Star Wars! :)

ps - I don’t know why it won’t let me sign in. Weird...
I love this idea!
ReplyDeleteRyan and Hunter would have loved this. Bree

Definitely very cute, good luck with them! :-)
ReplyDeleteI think it's a great idea. I'd hide the bag that says Star Wars and call them something different. You might have less chance for battles.
ReplyDeleteThey will LOVE it! I have several fun pointers that I use in second grade. I have Harry Potter & Hermione wands, a plastic sword, a light up baton, and several cutesy fly swatters.
ReplyDeleteMy little Star Wars fan would LOVE to have you as a teacher! Way to get those boys excited about reading, Sarah!
