To learn the "ar" sound in phonics, the kids helped generate a list of "ar" words, chose one from the list, and then drew a picture of it to place on our "ar" art gallery wall. I love what they came up with--especially the drawings of Jar Jar Binks, garbage, and Barbie! This was an easy and fun activity that can now also be used for the "read & write the room" station!
