Mrs. Cooley! And... I can't wait to find out the names of my new students for next year! I love labeling and getting things ready for my new little ones, and I am super excited about using these swirly chalkboard name tags to help me remember names those first few days! After laminating, I usually hole punch the top of my name tags to make them into necklaces. I take them up at the end of the day, and pass them out again the next day, until I get those names down!
{Teacher friends, you can grab your name tags for free by clicking the picture above.}
I love those nametags!! The black & white design is so adorable! :)

As always...love. Too cute!
ReplyDeleteToo cute!!
ReplyDeleteI always use a small pocket chart to keep my nametag necklaces in, and then it does double duty. In the morning, the kids grab their name, which makes taking attendance a snap. The tags that are left get read off quickly (in case someone just forgot) and those are the names I mark absent. It obviously helps with name recognition for those who need it, besides helping me learn their names quickly. Also, I have my babies wear their nametags when they go to prep to help out those teachers. It's nearly impossible for the gym/art/library teacher to learn the name of every single child in the school, so they definitely appreciate it.
ReplyDeleteHow cool and helpful is that! Thanks a million!
DeleteCute blog - glad I found you!

ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea. I love the beginning of the school year too! I work in a village in Alaska so during the summer I leave the village, but I'm looking forward to getting back up there and being able to organize and set up my classroom. I guess that's just part of being a teacher! We just love the beginning of the school year!!
